Here are some of the bands, groups, soloist and musicians who have recently recorded at Summerhill Digital Recording Studio..

Unit 13

This group is from Tallahassee and got their name from the fact that when they first started out, they used to practice in a rented storage unit- hence, the name Unit 13.  With a very unique sound and plenty of original tunes, look for this band to make a name at area clubs and on the radio!

Fireplug

This band is one of Northwest Florida's favorites with a huge following all around Tallahassee.  The group recently recorded original music at Summerhill Studio and can also be heard with airplay on Gulf 104 and X101.5 Radio!

Better Days

This talented band has members from North Florida and South Georgia and has recorded some of the best melodic rock music that has come out of Summerhill Studio.  The group recently completed a 5-song EP and can be heard regularly on Gulf 104!

Stacey Wesolowski and Friends

This very gifted singer/songwriter brought a couple of friends into the studio to record a demo version of her newest song.  Stacey has a wonderfully fresh voice that makes you stop and listen!  Hopefully, we'll hear a lot more from her in the future!

Black Top Memory

This is a hardcore band from Thomasville, Georgia that recently completed a demo session at Summerhill Studio.  The band recorded an original song for airplay on Gulf 104 and will be working on an EP release for this fall!

Enersha

This band is from Madison, Florida are poised to make a big splash in the local music scene.  With soaring guitars and one of the best lead singers of any band in the area, Enersha has what it takes to really make it.  They recently recorded a demo for airplay on Gulf 104 and will hopefully start working on an EP recording at Summerhill Studio soon!

Burgundy Blush

This group of talented young musicians recently recorded a demo at Summerhill Studio for their entry in the Gulf 104 "Road to Rock Star" contest.  Citing those great 80's rock, pop and techno bands as their influence, Burgundy Blush has expertly blended several styles to create a very unique sound.  Make sure you ask them what their name means!

Shugar Kayne

If you haven't heard this band play live, you've missed one of the great musical treasures in Northwest Florida!  Shugar Kayne recently came to our studio and recorded a demo track which will be included in their full-length CD that the band plans to start recording at Summerhill Studio in November! 

Ash Asylum

One of the hot new bands coming out of Tallahassee, Ash Asylum recently came to Summerhill Digital Recording Studio to record for the first time. The band recorded a great original song that can be heard in rotation on Gulf 104's "Homegrown" Show on Sunday nights!

YAT Studio Singers

Summerhill Studio recently welcomed all 24 members of Young Actors Theatre's "Studio Singers" to our studio to record their Fall Performance CD. Very few studios in this area have the space to record this many vocalists at once, but as you can see from the above photo, we not only had enough room for the singers, but even their mascot Pug, Phoebe.  Look for the Studio Singers to perform with tracks made at Summerhill Studio at selected events all over Tallahassee this fall!

County Hell

This was one of the coolest projects that has been recorded at Summerhill Studio.  County Hell is a very unique Irish/Celtic Music band from Tallahassee that features a guitar, drums, bass, accordian, penny whistle and bohdran. The members of this group have loved Irish music all their lives, but have never recorded their music until now. 

Summerhill Studio's Jeff Lovett is an American Idol Judge

Jeff Lovett, owner of Summerhill Studio, has served for the last two years as a Regional Judge for the Fox TV Show, "American Idol." Lovett was chosen because of his year's of experience in the music business and his extensive work with area artists and bands.

DownTime

This group of talented musicians recently visited Summerhill Studio to work on a demo.  They recorded a very cool jazz-tinged rock ballad that has strong lyrics and features layer after layer of sweeping guitar parts. Expect to hear a lot more from DownTime in the future!

Danna Kraft

Danna was one of the finalists in the Tallahassee "American Idol" contest and recently came in the studio for her very first recording session. It was the dream of a lifetime for Danna to finally hear herself in a professional studio recording. Look for Danna at "open mics" and other venues around Tallahassee as she continues to wow the crowds!

From Triumph to Tragedy

These five guys are from Bainbridge and recently made their first recording at Summerhill Studio.  They laid down a searing original song that features musicianship skills far beyond their years. Look for From Triumph to Tragedy to start playing local venues (and do some more recording) very soon.
